Dear Parent/Carer,

Welcome back to the new academic year! Mr Crossley is still unwell and we wish him a speedy recovery. In the meantime I am acting Headteacher, receiving support from the Trust (through Mrs Myers).

May I thank you all for ensuring that the pupils returned to school in appropriate uniform, they look very smart! P.E tops are now available from the school office from 3:00pm each day at a cost of £5.00. School will continue to provide P.E shorts, but we do request you provide a pair of black pumps (to leave in school).

School Dates
Attached is the Table of Events for this term. You will also find them on the school’s website.

Entry to School in the morning
As you know we blow a whistle to start the school day at 8:55am. Breakfast will be provided to those in school from 8:45am to 9:00am starting from Monday 16th September.

As a whole school we achieved 95% attendance last academic year. Thanks to all those who continue to support our push to improve school attendance. As it is the start of a new academic year, we will be sending out a letter next week as a reminder about our expectations. Any questions please contact Mrs Tolcher in the School Office who will be happy to help & support.

To give your child a broad and balanced curriculum we are changing the length of lunch times to promote a love of reading. This will start from Monday 16th September, with lunchtime running from 12:00pm until 12:45pm. Listen out for your child talking to you enthusiastically about their reading. Any questions please see me.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs K Allen
Acting Headteacher
