Dear Parent/Carer,

Online Safety & Cyberbullying
We have had a couple of parents ask recently how they can support their children at home to improve their online safety skills and spot and deal with cyberbulling. An online organisation called Homeguides has developed guidance to help children, parents and schools to understand what cyberbullying is and how to deal with it. See https://homeguides.co.uk/cyberbullying

Co-op ‘Ways of Being’
You will remember completing a questionnaire through Foretel earlier this year where you had the opportunity to give feedback about how we do things at Co-op Academy Portland. The one area that came up for us to address related to: [Question 10. ‘My child talks about Co-op Values and/or Ways of Being Co-op.’]

Below is a table of the ‘Ways of Being’ and what they mean on a day to day basis. We regulary discuss them in assemblies and use them as a basis for what we expect from each other.
