Attendance/Absence

Good attendance and punctuality support the route to a good education.

As in everything we do, we have high expectations for good attendance and punctuality! Coming to school every day allows your child to get the best possible education. We’ll work with you, to help your child attend as much as they can. We’ve got a great attendance and support team, so please get in touch if you’re having difficulties.

We do take children from 8.40 but school officially starts at 8:55am and the doors close at 9:00am. Registration takes place in the first few minutes in class.

If your child comes after 9:00am you’ll need to drop of your child through the main office. They will receive a late mark and the minutes will be collated.

If your child is ill, we ask that you please ring the office on the morning of their absence. This needs to be done on each day they are off school unless they are absent long term.

If you do want to talk to us for advice and support on attendance you should speak to Mrs Tolcher (Attendance & Welfare Officer) through the school office. We’re happy to administer medicines, these just need to be signed for at the school office.

We celebrate good attendance – we celebrate children who achieve 100% attendance every term, have prizes for improved attendance and reward the classes with the best attendance each week.
