This week at Co-op Academy Portland
What a splash! Years 1 and 2 had a fantastic time at Bubbles in New Brighton yesterday, despite the wet weather on the way. Huge thanks to Miss Campbell, Miss Munnerley, Miss Jones, and our wonderful parent helpers for making it such a memorable day for the children. This trip was made possible by the #CommunityFund covering the children's travel and Mr. Leathers generously paying for our parent helpers.
A HUGE shout out to our Karate kids tonight. They each upgraded to their next belt and they were all amazing - Mrs Smith was so proud (her eyes may have leaked with pride!)
A massive thank you to Sensei Paul and Sensei Jesse for their time and patience throughout the year. Also thanks to Sensei Kate for the beautiful certificates.
Today was our last lesson of the year so this was the perfect end. Mrs Smith is happy to continue Karate Club next year - if your child is in Year 2 upwards and are interested let her know.

Our Summer Fayre is just a couple of weeks away, and we'd be so grateful for your help! Could you donate any prizes for our raffles, bottles for our tombola, or even vouchers from your business? Please let Mrs. Hall or Mrs. Smith know if you're able to contribute. And feel free to share this request with anyone you think might be able to help. Thank you!
Summer Fayre
Our school are organising our Summer Fayre Friday 11th July between 2 and 4pm - and we would love to invite you and your small business to join us by having a stall.
Stalls are just £15 per table, and you can promote your business and sell products to our community.
If you’re interested in booking a stall, contact Mrs Smith or Mrs Hall. Tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions - we’d be delighted to have you.
Dont forget our community shop is open for all your needs. Whether its supplies or uniform, you can find Mrs Smith in our Community Hub to support you. Check our social media for updates on opening times.
We are partnering with FairShare and will be receiving weekly food deliveries in our shop.

REWARDS
Improving attendance is everyone’s business. The barriers to accessing education are wide and complex, both within and beyond the school gates, and are often specific to individual pupils and families. At Co-op Academy Portland, we will do all we can to support your family and ensure our academy is safe, calm and a supportive environment for your child. Let’s celebrate everyone’s success together.
